June is here and we are all feeling excited for the end of year activities. Thank you for continuing to support us by encouraging your children to remain connected and engaged through their virtual classroom. St. Mary teachers are doing their very best to provide engaging activities while ensuring that key grade level expectations are being taught. We’re almost near the end and our students are Mighty Mustang Strong!
Nurturing Hope Food Drive
St. Mary CES was proud to be a part of the YCDSB “One Day Nurturing Hope Food Drive” to support our neighbours in need on Thursday, May 27th. We would like to extend our gratitude to all of our families that participated. We collected 5 large bins and multiple boxes full of non-perishable food items. Your continued support and generosity was very much appreciated.
Planning for the 2021-2022 School Year
As we plan for the 2021-2022 school year, parents are strongly encouraged to send their children to school in-person in September. We will continue to follow all of the safety guidelines outlined in the YCDSB Re-Entry Plan as directed by the York Region Chief Medical Officer of Health. In order to plan effectively, we need to know how many students will opt for remote learning. We ask that all parents take the time to submit the survey linked below by no later than June 4 at midnight, as this important information will allow us to plan the appropriate learning experience for your children. If parents do not fill out the survey, we will record their choice as “in-person”. For additional information, please refer to the email sent on May 21 from Interim Director Mary Battista.
