This week is French Carnaval Week at St. Mary. Students and staff will enjoy the following activities throughout the week:
LOTO
★ Every class will receive a bingo card. We will begin calling numbers on Monday during announcements. First class to get a full card will win a pizza lunch.
Monday – APRÈS SKI CAFÉ
★ Each class will have a chance to visit the Après Ski Café, enjoy a sweet treat (Terra Cotta Chocolate Chip Cookie and juice) and play a round of bingo.
Tuesday – CARNAVAL VIRTUAL ESCAPE GAME
★ Classes will participate in a virtual escape game simultaneously. The first class to complete all the tasks and find the secret code word will win a movie day.
Wednesday – QUI EST BONHOMME?
★ Each class will have a chance to guess who is in the Bonhomme costume. Students will choose from five grade 8’s (they were introduced at the kick-off assembly). Bonhomme will be coming around throughout the week, so keep a look out and try to guess who is in the costume! 1 class per division will be chosen to win a pyjama day.
Thursday – BONHOMME MAKEOVER
★ Each class will receive a life-size Bonhomme cut out. Students will give Bonhomme a makeover. Bonhommes will be judged after last recess and 1 winner per division will be chosen. Winners will receive a sweet treat.
Friday – A NIGHT IN PARIS THEME DANCE
★ On Friday February 9th we will have a NUIT À PARIS themed dance in the gym. Students and staff are encouraged to wear fancy clothes.
