Remembrance Day Liturgy

St. Mary CES will virtually gather together to pause, reflect and pray on November 11th, to commemorate Remembrance Day.  Our grade 4 students in Ms. Perry and Ms. Camerlengo’s class will lead the school in a virtual liturgy at 10:45 a.m., to give thanks for the sacrifices made, and pray for peace in the future.

Safety Awareness Week

The week of October 17th to October 23rd has been designated as “Safety Awareness Week”.  During this week, we will be rehearsing a variety of emergency school procedures to acquaint students and staff with the precautionary steps to take in the event of such things as a warning of severe weather, an intruder or a fire evacuation.  Teachers will review these procedures ... Orange Shirt Day – September 30

The Orange Shirt Day movement started in 2013 to highlight the pain and suffering of thousands of Indigenous children who were sent to residential school throughout the last century. The colour of the shirt is connected to the experience of Phyllis Webstad who was sent to Cariboo Residential School near Williams Lake, BC, in 1973.
